On his first trip to Mexico City the author contacted the American Embassy in quest of an English speaking doctor. I was referred to a Doctor Zapata, and it was mentioned that the doctor had the same last name as the great Mexican hero--Emiliano Zapata. At the time I had no interest in Mexican heroes. Since then, I have acquired some knowledge of Mexican history, and of the Spanish language. I know that Emiliano Zapata Salazar was a leading figure in the Mexican Revolution, and is a national hero. Zapata vive, la lucha sigue. Zapata lives, the struggle continues.June 23, 2007
