Dissociate Fugue

The Merck Manuel states that a "Dissociate fugue is a disorder in which one or more episodes of sudden, unexpected, and purposeful travel from home (fugue) occur during which a person cannot remember some or all of his past life." Merck says that "most fugues last for hours or days and disappear on their own."

In music, fugue refers to a style of composition--Bach's C minor fugue for example.
